Our excursion with Sveta this weekend was to the Peter and Paul Fortress. It is an island in the middle of St. Petersburg where the whole city began. It's a big fortress that was well protected during wars and later held political leaders as a prison. This room is in a cathedral and is where the Romanov family is buried (underneath the floor). Each white plaque is for a member of the family. The one on the far right of this wall in front is Anastasia's.
