Sundays are my only days off this month so when they come, I try to enjoy them to the fullest by spending lots of time with my family. Today, I spent most of the afternoon playing Connect Four and Mancala with Danielle. The best was when we played them with our eyes closed. It always come up with funny stories like Danielle skipping like four spots on Mancala (Matthew was right there being our judge). After everyone had dinner and a nap, we got up and needed dessert. I decided I wanted to make something I learned from Russia so out of the few options I knew, we ended up with aladeen. I'm not sure how to describe it but it's like a mix between pancakes and scones with apple chunks in it. We put powdered sugar on it and it ended up delicious! Everyone liked it! We are now ending our night watching "Leap Year" which I bought a few days ago from Fred Meyers for $7!
